Eminem’s ‘Kamikaze’ Continues Streak Atop Album Charts

Written by on October 3, 2018

Kamikaze is Em’s ninth No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and it does enough to beat Drake’sScorpion (Republic/Universal) and Ed Sheeran’s Divide (Warner) on the current frame. Guns N’ Roses’ guitar hero Slash has the week’s highest debut with Living The Dream (Sony) at No. 4. It’s the third LP from Slash with Myles Kennedyand the Conspirators, all three of which cracked the top 10 Down Under; Slash’s Apocalyptic Love (from 2012) and World On Fire (2014) both peaked at No.

As George Ezra claims another ARIA Singles Chart crown, rappers Lil Peep & XXXTentacion make a posthumous appearance in the top 10 with “Falling Down” (Columbia/Sony), which starts at No. 7. Finally, Eminem just misses another top 10 with “Killshot,” his Machine Gun Kelly diss track. It’s new at No. 11 and marks the Detroit rapper’s 12th top 50 entry this year; the others all appear on Kamikaze.
